Up in Smoke, 2013

she marveled realizing the shape inside her chest

that void often filled with air and beauty when

merry it would change shape as birds sung

it shrunk at sounds belonging to civilization

a soul with preconceived ideas she wondered

he laughed back at her concept

a soul thriving on sounds, smells and visions

she could picture shapes and leaps inside it

she could sit still and recognized

the life in her. her blood, her breath

her cells multiplying, spreading,

it was surely a wonderful place to be
