another day gone
up in smoke and a
new one waiting
to be lit
.
as I hold off for the bed
to warm itself the sounds
of nocturnal tree frogs
the birds soon to start
.
it’s quite
an unusual temperature
no more drip drop, rain
has ceases I sit calm
.
eyes large taking
in the night fallen
a desire to curl up
in many visions
.
I love the thought of curling up in many visions. Nothing like it when or after a rain. great imagery of words

Sterling beat me to it: “curling up in many visions” is an unforgettable line, like the line in a great song that swims in one’s imagination all the day. You have brought a gentle rain to refresh my soul. Thanks.

I love the images created in these lines and particularly love “eyes large taking”

This is kinda sweet poem, like a lullaby. That’s a lovely one. Can still hear the words ring – I mean sing – in my head, like a lullaby – “Up in smoke… another day gone” Thumbs up!

Might be one of the most clever arrangement of words that I have seen in a while. I already penciled it onto a piece of scrap paper. I really, really like this. Beijos from Brazil

thank you Ryan, words sometimes are great toys to play with, do construction work with them and you get a new city scape!

They sure are!
But I´ll be damned if they don´t make for great weapons as well. I guess such as anything, right?

absolutely, but I’d rather build new landscapes than make war. words are the most efficient weapon of all!
