it’s a hard switch
from listing a dumpster
of emotion to observing the
less visited bay of serenity
.
having very few words
at use for such new place
and fear of letting enthusiasm
out a kite flying high
.
people born unhappy
turn green under a dark
cloud if you let happiness
out but why changing them
.
yet I know some are here
now craving for news from
outer places words as rare
pearls bright near the heart

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely poem Anna. I love your style. Following Blaise Pascal who said that “All of humanity’s problems stem from man’s inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”, I would say that the majority of people today have difficulty learning to “unplug”. The dependence on electronics is so great that people do not pay attention when they block walkways, doors, etc. because they are so busy checking their smartphones. I have gotten used to silence so much that I prefer listening to instrumental music at a very low level or I just simply enjoy silence. Warmest regards – Alina π

Alina, isn’t silence such a precious luxury? So profound, making rich those who eventually get it. I love that Blaise Pascal quote, thank you for sharing it π
