Nights From The California Notebooks 2015

have you ever
been out walking
on some nights

when the dark
air feels like water
to your skin

a splash of beauty
dense and soft
at the same time

where you step out
in total amazement
crickets singing

the sky so bright
broken up by
constellations

always expecting
to see some wonder
taking place up there

like a waterfall
of stars crashing
