For me, a poem is like a mirror. Everyone looks but all see something unique. And some – see nothing.

I find myself lost with mine after the last word is written, whether good or bad or indifferent once they have taken form outside my head my poems and ditties do not feel familiar any more

Rather than asking what the poem means, ask what the poet is expressing. Poetry is an art, and all art is expression. A painter uses colors and shapes, and a poet uses words.
