i morti di quei campi
i morti della guerra
i morti delle stragi politiche
i morti del mediterraneo
i morti che
non appartenevano
alla parte giusta
alla razza giusta
al paese giusto
tornano tutti
in vita un giorno
come in un sogno
per svegliarci tutti

I never studied Italian, but I took Latin in high school. It was enough to give me an approximate translation of this poem, but then I ran it through google’s translator and the haunting sentiment of the words emerged. This is powerful writing. I’m looking forward to reading more of your work.
