Il tempo

Standard

Sunday posts are dedicated to Italian Poetry

*
il tempo lascia
tracce ovunque
le vittime non sono
mai vendicate

il tempo non si può
trattenere può essere
classificato mai
arrestato

e a pensarci
seriamente
non duriamo ma
il tempo di un respiro

il tempo si mostra
e fugge veloce

A Petal – California Notebooks

Standard

*
a petal can lead
to an expanse of flowers

of poetry and lightness
surprisingly colored

to an internal suburban world
projecting me with telescopic

vision toward the earth I who
believes to be above it

within not yet under
I who believe and know no more

I who believes evermore that
I’m and nothing else matters

who loves to live an atom
at a time my own explosion

Radio – California Notebooks

Standard

A tiny taste of the radio interview I did in Milan, Italy, two weeks ago. The first poems is in English.

Un piccolo assaggio video dell’intervista all’Onda di Radio Navigli di Milano del 21-6-18. La seconda poesia è in italiano.

Text below/Testi a fondo pagina

*
I’ve seen rain
stepping on the sea
incessantly tapping

not able to carve
ancient holes

as on rocks
because it

was welcomed
it was welcome

*
ho visto la pioggia

camminare sul mare
bussava senza sosta

incapace di scavare
buchi antichi

come nelle rocce
perchè era

accolta
era ben accolta

Intervista Live TV

Standard

A early Easter surprise (yes, I look like a chick that just cracked off the egg in this interview, LOL) a live interview for an Italian TV where I tell about my trips to California where I “gathered” poetic inspiration and where I wrote the two volumes of the California Notebooks

The Beauty We Hold

Standard

*

it’s the beauty we hold
and carelessly wear around
what we’ll be missing more

I’ve been that route

bumps holes and crevices
known to me if you’ll let me
stop the nonsense and hold
dear what we have

California Notebooks – Freedom

Standard

*
I realize we
do not need more
cosmic abstractions

nor painful flights
to the Himalayas tip
for the misty fog

that sometimes
surrounds us in
a cage of boredom

to wane at the sound
of us being liberated
as we simply focus

on what we know
now that we didn’t
know last week

On Being From The California Notebooks 2016

Standard

*

when my words
surfacing out of
poetry define
who am I
I cry

I also
rejoice and
stand still as
if suspended
all at the same
exact

time holding
that tiny particle
of truth inside me
that shining in spite
of me

On Poetry From The California Notebooks 2016

Standard

*

it seems some days
that the sun moves
at a faster speed

it raises for a kiss
as I get a cup of coffee
and let the cat out

I see them playing
together in the shiny
grass birds may

join too as I give
shape to new poetry
typing away

suddenly it taps
on the backyard for
a sad goodbye

as I sit speechless

Desert Trip

Standard

*

November 1st early
morning past sunrise
I’m out in the middle
of the deserted road

I stop to savor the
moment under a sturdy
blue sky half moon
suspended late up there

my eyes running up to
the lengths of the tall
palm trees where only
a bird or two greet me

I’ve got a couple of hours
a couple of water bottles and
some mountains to follow here’s
peace before my Sunday starts

Nata in sogno, Quaderni Californiani

Standard

*

vorrei essere casa
nel deserto

spalancata al nulla
in attesa

delle mie stesse ombre
immobile

vulnerabile al vento che
mi riempie

di nulla e di sospiri di terre
lontane

nata in sogno svanisco
mentre scrivo

Born in a Dream

Standard

*

I wish to be home
in the desert

wide open to nothingness
waiting

for my own shadows
immobile

vulnerable to the wind
filling me

emptiness and whispers of
far away lands

born in a dream I’m gone
as I write

Human Mandala (IT/EN)

Standard

Here is the video of me reading an unpublished poem I dedicated to “The Human Mandala”, that took place on June 26th 2016, during the Picnic Reale in Monza Park, Italy, where I did a presentation of my book CALIFORNIA NOTEBOOKS hosted by Virginia e Co. bookstore. You can read the translated text below.

*
la mia figura
si illumina di poesia
è un altro tipo di sorriso

una formula elementare
di essere nell’uno
universale

*
my figure is lit by
poetry from within it’s
a different kind

of smile an elementary
formula to be
in the universal one

FOCAL POINT by Anna Mosca (EN vrs.)

Standard

Here it is!!!
For you, the English version of a short video of the conference held on May 21st 2016 in Italy on the “Focal Point” of my artistic walk. I was asked to explain to the public – in just 15 minutes – where, why and how Poetry and Photography merge in my personal search.

The conference, held in a beautiful location, the restored, historical, former King’s Waiting Room in the train station of Monza, was part of the Tenth Poetry Summit organized by Poesia Presente. I had a selection of my own photographic work showing in the background that you can view in this slide presentation.

Video starts with whispering so careful not to raise the volume too loud!
Will love to read your feed-backs and fell free to share the link. Enjoy it…
