give me only one thing
the strength to open
my sails every morning
oh god that you may
lead me through oceans

I don’t think
heaven is upward
.
I don’t think
God is in the sky
but I think
God is in the air
.
when I look
up to the clouds
I feel God is
there up around
.
inside and
everywhere
God is like air

approaching the day
with dancing
thoughts
to linger in god’s
presence
light
that stays with me
at night
and in my slumber

shy me lord
of what sinks me down
as I fall asleep
let peace wrap me up
my thoughts
lighten my worries
remove just
a timid smile to
welcome you
.
.
*
peaceful the dust
lingers on my shelves
I touch books thrown
back in time where
is all that mind
knowledge gone
the people that
walked with me
transmuted no
stone left unturned
no thing left the same
I let dust be as
my eyes scan spines
bleached by the
sunlight come
god pick me up
.

I wish no one
to die without a hint
of poetry
a hue of love
compassion or
passion
I wish you
all the urge to cross
over this
threshold
while in your home
a nice skin
seeking a touch
from heaven to come

I like to think
of my memory
fixed as I age
having a better
recollection of
all it has been
while
never alone
to get broader eyes
looking at the now
and what’s beyond
to see the whole
picture but
all I want indeed
is to have these
beautiful ears
placed as jewels to
decorate me
to hear dogs laughing
and birds singing
to detect clearly
his love whispering
the deep silence

I dip into these
same calm waters
ahead of me
the mountain
and monumental
the building
where it was
all revealed
one day in my
teens the green
light of life and
the silence
as a solemn
soundtrack making all
things stilled
yet moving in life
a vibration such as
a dancing slow motion
images of bliss here
words are useless
there you need to be

It’s the spiral
I know the never
ending
movement
of one circle
after another
it’s that coming
back to that point
from a different
point of view
the lighthouse
over the ocean
the curling
of the waves
the undercurrent
us never still
his voice breathing
out and calling
us in a golden
band a nest of
fingers crossed

I end up at times
visiting old friends
dinners stretching
over time feeding
our souls
the privilege
of recalling
the spirit’s
visitations
our hearts
a candle burning
quietly
steadily shaking
in the evening
breeze leaves
we are made
to fall and to die
full of colors
when it’s season

English Text – La versione italiana è sotto la foto
Hello, hello (a song starts in my mind, actually a couple of songs, overlapping each other)… this is a small update to share with you the excitement about the book California Notebook coming out soon!
I’m doing some “sort of “ last minute countdown on the date the book will be available to all on the internet and on the best libraries! Being Italian this book had to be published in Italy, a country that loves approximations, and I myself I’m not a number lover, I must admit. I will make sure to tell you when that is.
Meanwhile, as God has his mysterious ways and the universe moves in spite of us, it turns out that I’ve been invited to launch my book by the Comune of Arcore, the city counsel of the small town I’m from, where I grew my wings before starting to fly all over the world. Isn’t this absolutely karmic? I got chills when I started to see the picture. We always start from the roots no matter how large into the clouds our branches are.
Hopefully those kids that grew up with me will show up and we’ll have some kind of planned from above reunion, yes, because my mom and I keep on running into people I’ve not seen in decades. My heart is overflowing. Shortly after I will leave my hometown to fly back to California to gather more inspiration and serenity, to breath deeply and to warm my bones in the sun.
Anyhow here is a little spoiler: the book will be filled with poetry on silence and the beauty of life, counting 80 poems! It will come out first as paperback then as hardback cover too and e-book. Not sure what your preferences are, if you let me know I’ll be delighted…
I’m so happy to be able to share this awesome book (so some of my super-fans say) with you. I will fill you in with details soon.
Dedicated to those people whose soul wants to rise and blossom.

I do less I know
I travel more the spirit’s
paths than collect good deeds
I sit and think what
a sea my life has been
stretched between lands
under tempests or requited
as oil on hot days he was
above all looking down
pouring rain to add to me
when I felt deserted
hands cupped to
collect me

god is dead was my
victor’s cry I had books
proving that and a pencil
never anger was fiercer
nor larger memory loss
I had taken on a mission
not to miss on any
transgression many
doors were there to bust
