I’ve seen rain
stepping on the sea
incessantly tapping
not able to carve
ancient holes
as on rocks
because it
was welcomed
it was welcome

I was watching rain run over the gravel in my yard, and I immediately connected with the vivid, beautifully written imagery of your poem. The trees and greenery here seem to be welcoming the rain.
